Sample weekday WXBH schedule. These shows do not exist; they are just examples of what might air on WXBH. We plan to have a block schedule as shown in the leftmost column so that the shows airing within a certain time frame will have similar formats; however, the individual content of each show may vary. Weekends will be completely free-form.

Morning Drive Time

7 AM The Real Story continued.
8 AM Voice of WEst Louisville (VOWEL) hosted by Charles Johnson and Jenny Fransen. News and opinions from Shawnee, Portland and the West End.
9 AM Voice of WEst Louisville (VOWEL) continued.
Midday
10 AM - 4 PM
Local, independent, underground, experimental, new and unusual music.
10 AM Southern Sounds hosted by Miguel Gomez. Music from Central and South America.
11 AM Carribean Canteen hosted by Linda K. Mellow tunes from tropical islands.
12 PM Midday Mixtape hosted by Terence and DJ Dormouse. New underground hip hop music from around the world.
1 PM Midday Mixtape continues.
2 PM In the Garage hosted by Frank and Will. Pre-punk garage bands from the 1960s.
3 PM Dance Dance Dance hosted by DJ OhNoes and DJ Sorbet. Rare, obscure, and unknown songs-that-should-have-been-hits to make you tap your feet and nod your head.
Afternoon Drive Time
4 PM - 7 PM
News and talk.
4 PM School's Out hosted by Lucy and Asia. An hour-long talk show devoted to discussion of teen issues.
5 PM Democracy Now! hosted by Amy Goodman.
6 PM Unknown Louisville hosted by Maria Mueller. Each day Maria interviews regular Louisvillians about their ideas, hopes and fears, often focusing on a single theme.
Weekday Evening
7 PM - 10 PM
Local, independent, underground, experimental, new and unusual music.
7 PM Melting Pot Mouthful hosted by Jim Weiss and Francisca Sierra. Local and regional ethnic music, often with a theme. This week: Wedding songs.
8 PM What The Folk hosted by Tina Borden. Local and regional folk musicians as well as rare historical recordings of the pre-1960s classics. All acoustic!
9 PM The Local Hour with The Two Shawns. Louisville underground, independent music of the rock/punk/metal variety.
After Hours
10 PM - 6 AM
Freeform grassroots programming. Music, talk, issues, lectures, documentaries, rants, experimental radio ... this is where the boundaries are pushed.
10 PM 10:00-10:30: 30 Minutes of Madness hosted by Metal Meagan. A half hour of the most brutal metal that Meagan can find.
10:30-11 PM: Street Poetry hosted by Mr. Gone. Poets read their work, improvise and collaborate on the air.
11 PM Wylin' Out with DJ Wild hosted by DJ Wild. An entire hour of live, mind-blowing turntable mixing. You never know what will end up in the mix.
12 AM Merciless Midnight hosted by The Priest. Goth, darkwave, gabber, and vampire music.
1 AM Ladies First hosted by MC Baby-Lo and DJ Katrina. All-female hip-hop hour with some scratching, mixing and freestyling.
2 AM Night Owl Open Mic hosted by Derek Baldwin. Open mic on the air! If you have a poem, song, rant or joke you'd like to share, come on down. Limit ten minutes per guest. Sign up in advance on our website or at the station.
3 AM Night Owl Open Mic continues.
4 AM Nocturnal Noise hosted by Brian Thomas. Experimental music, power electronics, ambient noise, and other sounds that put the "disco" in "discomfort."
5 AM 5:00-5:30: Diggin' Deep hosted by Doctor David. The good doctor dissects the daily issues with humor and precision.
5:30-6 AM: Early Riser hosted by Gina Medium. Always starts mellow and calm, then slowly raises the tempo and energy level to help you wake up.
